This November, Sacred Heart School lead by it’s Student Council members organized a Thanksgiving Meal basket drive. Each classroom was assigned a key part of the Thanksgiving meal, such as stuffing, corn, or cranberry sauce, to bring in. Students from all classrooms, Pre-K through 8, brought in enough supplies for 20 baskets. With additional donations, we were able to purchase the 20 turkeys to complete the meals.
The meals are going to two of the Lynn Shelter Association’s permanent housing buildings. These buildings house 12 families and numerous individuals that have transitioned from being homeless into these units. Sacred Heart students should be proud of this amazing effort!
