What materials are required to complete my application?
A completed application includes:
- Birth Certificate
- Immunization Record
- Baptismal Certificate (if applicable)
- Signed Tuition Agreement
- Proof of FACTS Account
- Copy of Voucher (if applicable)
- Pre-Kindergarten 3, Pre-Kindergarten 4 and Kindergarten Questionnaire
Extended Day Care Form
- Medical Release Form
- Academic Records (if transferring from another school)
When is the application deadline?
Sacred Heart School has an ongoing application and enrollment process, so there is no deadline to submit an application.
My child is not Roman Catholic. Can he/she still attend Sacred Heart?
YES! Sacred Heart welcomes students of all faith and religious backgrounds with the understanding that students will participate in Roman Catholic prayer, Masses, and services. Christian (and, specifically, Catholic) education is the foundation of Sacred Heart School, but we respect and appreciate students and families of all religious backgrounds.
What is the tuition for 2019-2020?
TUITION FOR GRADES PK-8
One Child – $5,200.00
Two Children – $9,445.00
Three Children – $11,910.00
There is also an instructional/technology fee of $75 per child and a fundraising fee* of $300 per family.
The fundraising fee will be added to your FACTS account and will be charged at $30/month for 10 months.
Are there scholarships or financial aid available?
Sacred Heart School is dedicated to making Catholic education affordable for all families, regardless of financial status. Thanks to many generous donors, a number scholarships have been made available to families in need and students who exemplify the meaning of Sacred Heart School.
Below are further Tuition Discount Opportunities.
SCHOOL SERVICE PROGRAM – Families who volunteer twenty hours of their time during the school year will receiver a one-time per school year discount of $100.00 off of their total tuition bill. This discount is applied to the tuition account in May.
RECRUITMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM – A one-time, $500 tuition discount will be provided to a current school family who brings a new family into Sacred Heart School. (Discount is pro-rated if the incoming student is enrolled in our 3 day pre-kindergarten program.)
PAID IN FULL – A $100 discount is applied if the entire tuition is paid by August 1.
CHILD CARE VOUCHERS – Child Care Circuit Vouchers are accepted in our Early Childhood Programs and for the Before and After School progams.
FACTS FINANCIAL AID PROGRAM – Financial Aid is available for families with children in Kindergarten through Grade 8. For more information, please contact the main office, or see the TUITION INFORMATION PACKET included in your admissions materials.
Does SHS offer Before School and After School programs?
Yes. Sacred Heart offers a Before School Program and Extended Day Programing.
Availability: Monday through Friday for All Grades
Rates: $5.00 per day
Our before school program allows parent to bring their child(ren) into the school early for a supervised program.
Availability: Monday through Friday for All Grades
Rates: $20.00 per day*
*Sibling discounts are available
EXTENDED DAY BUNDLE
There is a combined daily rate of $23.00 for students who enroll in both before and after school extended day programs.
Is there a dress code or uniform?
Yes. Sacred Heart School students are expected to abide by the dress code and uniform guidelines spelled out in the student handbook. Any branded uniform items are available from our uniform company:
Admissions Procedures and Policies
Scholars entering our Pre-Kindergarten 3-year-old program must be 3 years old by September 1.
Scholars entering our Pre-Kindergarten 4-year-old program must be 4 years old by September 1.
Scholars entering our Kindergarten 0 program must be 4.5 years old by September 1.
Scholars entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 1.
Scholars entering Grade 1 must be 6 years old by September 1.
Our typical application procedure is as follows.
1. Tour the school! Come visit us! You may schedule a visit online here.
2. Submit an application: You may apply online here.
3. Shadow Day: Prospective scholars will spend a day in a classroom where age appropriate assessments will be conducted to determine the child’s developmental progress.
4. Acceptance Letter! After all appropriate documentation has been received, accepted scholars will receive a letter welcoming you to the SHS family!
